Summer Reading 2024

In an effort to provide reading and learning opportunities during the summer, Pioneer Memorial Library offers activities, challenges and events for children, youth and adults through our Summer Reading Program.

  • Toddlers, Preschoolers and Kindergarteners participate in our Summer Reading Challenge. Upon registration, each child receives a sticker chart for them to record 50 books. For every ten books a child reads, they may come in and collect a sticker activity page to decorate. When a child completes the tracking chart with 50 books total, they earn the grand prize for the summer!

  • Students in the 1st – 8th grades advance to our Summer Learning Challenge. This year’s T.R.E.K.S. challenge will have children reading in forts and outdoors, creating maps and nature collages, learning about constellations and nature’s clues, and so much more! Students earn mini prizes for completing 10, then 20 challenges and if they complete all 25 challenges, they earn the grand prize!

Families can register at the library. Kick-off is May 30th from 10am-2pm. Last day to collect prizes is July 11th at 6:00pm.
